Santa Canes Tutorial

So my most recent crafting love is loom knitting. I have never really knitted or crocheted but I seem to manage pretty well at it. I came up with this design, since most of the loom knitting I have manged has been hats and a cowl, it is super easy. In lieu of the holidays I am sharing it with you.

First start with the most basic supplies. You can also use a six pegged loom. This particular one is a five peg devised to make flowers. You will also need a needle and thread... Which I slacked and didn't put in the picture... forgive me.

Just a simple cast on, I used e-wrap stitches. I imagine that any cast on would work well.

Next, Flat Knit a total of 30 rows. You can do less if you would like but I wouldn't suggest less than 25.

Cast on white yarn and do another 5 rows.

Sew the top of the hat closed with your needle and thread.

Cut the useless dangling thread off, and attach fluffy white ball... Or you can leave the dangling white thread on and tie a bell to the top.

I have no idea why I took a picture of the thread here...

That's it... After writing this I wonder if maybe I'm not the best instructor. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will get back to you ASAP. <3

TAAADAAAA!

Also, If you do you use this on a blog or otherwise noted please, please, please link back to me!!! I know this is a new blog but everyone is a beginner at one point or another <3
